Our Story
About Rack & Lather
Rack & Lather was born in the garage gyms, dusty country roads, and backcountry trails of 2020.
Like a lot of people, I started my fitness journey during the chaos of COVID. I ran. I climbed. I hiked. I lifted. Somewhere between the iron and the mountain peaks, I started to rebuild — mentally and physically. Fitness didn’t just change my body; it changed my life. It gave me structure, grit, and purpose.
But when it came to recovery, something felt off. I’d just finished a brutal workout or a long trail run, and I’d grab some generic store-bought soap… filled with 50 mystery ingredients I couldn’t pronounce. That didn’t sit right.
So I started making my own.
Rack & Lather was built for people who live deliberately — athletes, lifters, climbers, warriors of routine. Every bar is handcrafted with clean, purposeful ingredients that match the intensity of your lifestyle. No filler. No fluff. Just bold, functional soap that gets the job done.
This isn’t self-care. This is self-discipline.
Welcome to the grind.
The Team
Andy Osborne
Founder, Soapmaker, and Operations Manager
Andy is a former registered nurse with a background in cardiac ICU, interventional radiology, and special pathogens response. He also holds a degree in computer science — a rare combination of precision, problem-solving, and grit.
From hospital floors to the weight room, from code to cold process soap — Andy brings a systems mindset to everything he does. He built Rack & Lather from the ground up to serve a simple mission: give athletes a cleaner, tougher alternative that reflects the way they live.
He runs the brand, mixes the batches, packs the orders — and (almost) never misses leg day.
